Manchelopi is a soft and airy unspun yarn produced entirely in the region of La Mancha, Spain. It makes the most featherlight and airy sweaters!
Manchelopi was created to honour the Manchega sheep, a breed native to the region of La Mancha. The Manchega sheep are commonly raised for dairy but Wooldreamers aims to highlight the value of this natural fibre.
Each Manchelopi “cheese” (or “wheel”) consists of 2 strands of unspun pencil roving and can be worked in a variety of gauges, depending on if you hold the yarn 1 strand or 2 strands at a time.
