Two plies gently twisted together create a delicate lace-weight yarn. It can also be used double, making a warm and lustrous, lightweight and soft fabric, perfect to wear through the seasons.
mYak is Paola and Andrea, who together with local Tibetan nomadic communities, formed a cooperative to establish a sustainable production chain that respects the traditions of the land, its people, and the animals.
According to the down colour of the yak, they can obtain three natural shades (chocolate, desert and oatmeal) which can be dyed in order to get their palette of soft colours. mYak only dyes on the natural bases, no bleaching or de-colouring. Each colour will vary from season to season depending on the shade of the natural fibers, making it at times darker and at times lighter. This is the beauty of working with natural fibres and therefore the shade of the sample you see photographed here, might not always perfectly correspond to the current shade.
