Knitting for the Mathematically Inclined: Basics 1 with Christine – September 28, 4:00

Does it annoy you when people don’t provide an algorithm first, so you can zone out during the detailed instructions? Do you feel that more attention should be given to topology when discussing crafts? 

Whether you’re studying materials science, just a big fan of sort algorithms or anywhere in between, come on out for this new learn-to-knit series presented with a more technical slant. In this first session we will cover the basic stitches (knit and purl) as well as casting on and off (starting and finishing your knitting). Taught by Christine Rogalsky (BASC 2009, MASC 2011)
