Introduction to Visible Mending with Elysha of Worth Mending – November 16, 4:00

Mending on purpose! Visible mending is joy, creativity, resistance, and care all stitched together. We'll learn the basics of how to assess a damaged garment and fix it to last, with a focus on process and function over perfection. You'll explore mending as a way to unplug as a consumer and tap into the abundance of what you already have.

Skills needed: any hand-stitching experience such as embroidery or sewing helps, though complete beginners are welcome. 

Supplies provided: thread, needles, patches, and all the common mending tools, plus a list to start your own mending kit. 

Bring: your knit or woven garments in need of repair (small areas of damage are best for learning), your favourite scrap fabric (optional), your basic sewing kit from home (optional).
