Introduction to Tunisian Crochet, with Dashann Crochet - March 18, 7:00

Curious about Tunisian crochet and ready to try something new? In this beginner-friendly workshop you'll be introduced to Tunisian crochet - a unique style of crochet that creates a beautiful, textured fabric that looks a bit like knitting, but is made with a crochet hook.

This workshop is designed to help you learn the fundamentals of Tunisian crochet and build confidence with the technique. You'll learn how to work with a Tunisian crochet hook, how the forward and return passes work, and how to read patterns.

During class you'll practice three foundational Tunisian stitches, including:

• Tunisian Simple Stitch
• Tunisian Knit Stitch
• Tunisian Full Stitch

This is a skills-based class and is perfect if you've been curious about Tunisian crochet and want a solid introduction before starting larger projects.

This is not a learn to crochet class. Participants must already know how to chain and single crochet.

Materials:

• one ball of smooth, light-coloured yarn (worsted/medium weight recommended). Bring 2 colours if you want to learn how to change colours!
• A Tunisian crochet hook in an appropriate size for your yarn
