Duplicate Stitch Darning with Elysha of Worth Mending – October 19, 4:00

Tap into the everyday magic of mending! Duplicate stitch darning (AKA Swiss Darning), as in the name, replicates the stitches of your knit garment and can therefore be completely invisible when paired with a well-matched yarn. It can also be used decoratively, or to reinforce a thin area. We'll deconstruct this stitch and learn three ways to build it into your repair repertoire. 

Skills needed: Previous darning experience is required, whether through one of our previous sessions or your own practice. This method in particular requires precision, so be prepared with glasses or a magnifying lens if that helps your eyesight.  

Supplies provided: yarn, needles, darning tools, and fabric to practice with.  

Bring: your knit garment(s) in need of mending (or one you want to practice on), plus matching yarn if desired. We will have a range of yarn available but might not have a perfect match for you, if a match is what you're after.
