An entertaining talk about the history of socks and sock knitting, with a foray into the topic development of knitting machines during the industrial revolution, and the parallels between today’s technological revolutions. This lecture-style class will delve into the development and adoption of technology, the establishment of labour unions, and parallels with the rise of AI.

This class will be held at Flying Squirrel with the instructor speaking to us on screen live via Zoom. There will be time for Q&A with Kate after her presentation. Bring your socks (or other project) and join us for this informative topic!
