Knit Repair Clinic: Woven Darning, with Elysha of Worth Mending – March 24, 7:00

The Knit Repair Clinic is designed to build your confidence as a beginner or novice mender. The first hour is for skill-building. During the second hour, we apply those skills and troubleshoot the garment(s) you brought to repair. If time permits, we may go into more advanced detail on the topic, or veer into other techniques that are of interest to the group.

Each of the three classes in this series covers one mending skill. Join us for one, two, or all three!

This class is dedicated to the classic woven darn: learn the techniques, when to use it, and how to make your darning neat and strong. Woven darns can be bold and visible or casual and subtle, and work wonders on handmade or ready-to-wear knits. Bring your worn socks, sweaters, hoodies, scarves, mittens, hats, or even blankets, and tap into the everyday magic of mending.

Bring: your knit garment(s) in need of mending (or one you want to practice on), plus matching yarn if desired. We will have a range of yarn available but might not have a perfect match for you, if a match is what you're after.
